Paula talked about going hunting for juicy words and saying them with great expression to help write your poems.
She also helped us with similes - having a test pot of similes - coming up with more than one simile for an idea so that we don't have a simile that everyone might have thought of. What simile can you come up with for an elephant's trunk?
We wrote lots of poems as a group, Paula challenged us to think of two ideas that rhymed like "little cows and big miaows". What rhyming pairs can you think of?
