This week is Weedons School's Maori week - I have been so impressed this year that you have been listening carefully to each other and learning our morning greetings.
Your challenge over next week is to learn how to introduce yourself to someone else - you will need to find a bit out about your family and where you come from. Use your Mihi booklet to help find out different things.
You will need to think about where you come from or a place that has significance / is special to your family and ancestors.
You need to find out these things: Te maunga (mountain), Te awa (river) and the place that you are from. Try to find out the maori names for these places.
