Today we started our new geometry topic. We will be exploring all sorts of shapes, patterns, directions, mapping skills etc.
One of the main things we will be learning about is how to do computer programming. We will be using a programme called Logo Turtle and learning about the language people use to make our computers do lots of the things we take for granted.
Today we thought about how you would draw a square and a rectangle and what instructions you would need to write for a computer to draw those shapes.
We learnt that the corners of a square are like a quarter turn or 90 degrees and we used our knowledge that a square has 4 equal sides.
