If you haven’t worked it out already, Kowhai Rooms Top Performer this term is Jess Abbott. Jess has been in Room 3 for a year and a bit now and thoroughly deserves this award. Not only her class teacher, but every person she works with has noticed Jess’ determination to succeed and her ambition to improve. She doesn’t only work hard at school, she works hard independently at home to learn her Basic Facts and Maths Knowledge – something that has not always been easy for her. Give Jess a challenge and she will tackle it like an All Black!

Jess has been great at taking on responsibility this year – she has stepped up to the role of IT expert and has taught other people in her class how to use our blog and how to write quality comments. Her teacher and classmates definitely appreciate her calm, helpful manner.

Jess’ attitude to her learning has meant a very successful term 1 and we are sure that term 2 and the rest of the year will be just as productive.
